Our History
Alliance for Community Empowerment (ACE) was established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in 2013 in response to urgent community need. Canoga Park was identified as an underserved community with high rates of poverty, disconnection from school, and significant levels of unemployment among transitional-aged youth (ages 14 to 25).
ACE’s CEO and Founder, Michelle F. Miranda, used her lived experience and strong community relationships to create an organization that would fill this gap. Today, ACE provides critical support and services to individuals and families across the West San Fernando Valley and remains one of the few community-based nonprofits dedicated to serving this specific population.
